Not Your Typical Grandfather Clock

Our grandparents grew up in 1920s and 1930s. My grandfather had photos of him dressed in a suit looking like gangster. When he was still alive he showed us a clock pocket he bought many years ago. It was still working at that time, about twenty years ago. My mother kept the watch hoping to pass it on to my brother even if it was no longer working. Fortunately we found clock pocket watch parts online. It seems that this vintage treasure will soon be useful again.

It is amazing how old treasures can be repaired these days. Clock pocket watch parts are there for collectors of vintage pocket clocks. Even old gramophones can be reconfigured. A friend of mind had a vintage radio reconfigured to play MP3s. The outer appearance and the speakers were kept intact but the inside mechanisms were replaced to accommodate a player.
