handcrafted sterling silver rings

I’m a sterling silver aficionado. It started when I was still a sophomore. May aunt gave me a set of handcrafted sterling silver rings with bracelet and necklace. Since then I became a fan of sterling silver jewelry. My fondness for this type of jewelry prompted me to learn more about it. It makes me feel good that I’m knowledgeable with what I’m wearing in case somebody inquired.

Jewelry, flatware or accessories that are made from sterling silver are made of 92.5% by weight of silver while the other 7.5% by weight are of other materials like bronze. I found out that using 100% silver in flatware or jewelry is not feasible as the end product will be so soft and not feasible to function. I also read that during early 17th century to late 18th century flatware made from sterling silver is a trend in the society. Silverwares so to speak has become associated with proper dining etiquette. Thus, it is no wonder why silverwares were usually part of family heirlooms.
