opal ring

Through the centuries, different civilizations around the globe have appreciated the opal. The Romans regarded this gemstone as a charm of hope while Arabians believed that the opal fell as rain from the heavens. In India, opal is revered as a lucky gemstone for business. As such, many Indian businessmen can be seen wearing an opal ring.

Opal is the birthstone for October and is thought to bring luck to those born under the Libra sign. Many people prefer the black opal although some prefer the white one. Aside from rings, opal is also typically used for earrings, pendants, and necklaces. Opal can easily get scratched, thus owners are advised to be careful when wearing these stones.
