10k gold ring

The purity of gold is measured in karat. The higher the karat, the purer the gold. Gold in its purest form is too soft and is not durable. Hence, gold is mixed with different alloys to make it more durable. The common alloys used are copper and silver.

Ten karat is a popular choice for rings because it is more resilient to wear and tear.
