Since ancient times, people have been wearing rings that are associated with ceremony, spirituality and superstition. They are usually embellished with exotic gemstones or engraved with intricate designs. In the 15th century, the Pueblo Indian tribes of the American southwest were taught by the Spanish how to work with silver.
In time, Native American became skillful silversmiths who created highly desirable silver rings. Often gemstones were used for ornamentation. Today, a wide selection of beautiful rings include not only sterling silver but other kinds such as lapis rings, wedding bands, gold rings and more from the Navajo, Zuni, and Hopi Indian tribes.

If you have a bit of Irish in the blood and you want to celebrate your Celtic roots, then why not adorn yourself with Celtic jewelry? In Chinese philosophy, it is believed that there are two fundamental principles. One is called yin and is described as dark, passive, cold, negative, wet and feminine. The other is called yang and is described as bright, active, hot, dry and masculine. Ancient people say that the interactions and balance of these two forces in both people and nature can influence behavior and fate.
Bring this balance into your life. Wear a yin yang bracelet that features the yin and yang symbols as its focal points. It has clear and grey beads threaded through a 7″ long chain. This bracelet is held together by a gold-toned heart-shaped toggle clasp.

For my daughter’s eighth birthday, I was thinking of something really nice the kids could do to enjoy the party. She had already outgrown clowns and Barney, so a cartoon-themed party was out of the question. She had asked for a Hawaiian-inspired party though, so I had to do something that’s along those lines.
And then it struck me: assemble a few items that could create beaded bracelets that the kids could make by themselves and place it in their loot bags. It was a hit — the kids eagerly started creating the bracelets as soon as they got their loot bags. The party stretched on longer than I expected it to be, but it didn’t matter, because everyone, boys and girls alike, enjoyed the beads.

Sterling silver is almost synonymous with dining utensils like spoons, forks or knives. Sometimes cups, plates and saucers may be made from sterling silver too. For most jewelry, gold, silver and platinum are the metals commonly used. When it comes to rings, the use of gold is most popular. But today other metals have become widely accepted as an alternative.
For a wedding band, a sterling silver ring has become a wise replacement. Aside from it being less expensive, it possesses a quality that is common with a gold band. It has the same strength, brightness and durability. When designed carefully, it looks gorgeous on someone’s finger. Truly, it offers the same worth or value as a golf ring.
