The beauty of charm bracelets is that you can compose your own by choosing designs that you love. Some bracelets have charms representing important events that have come to pass. A unique gift to a baby is by giving her the very first charm in her bracelet. Her baptism will be an appropriate occasion. Her mother can continue collecting charms for her first day in school, her prom, and her graduation. As she grows older, she can continue by celebrating her first date, when she turned 18 or when she gets married. As she grows in years, so will her charm bracelet.
Some will just want beautiful things like rhinestone charms hanging from a gold bracelet. Include pieces of gems in different colors. The variety will be striking. It will be great to wear on special occasions. Best of all, there will be a story to tell.

For many generations, Native American Indians have been creating striking jewelry for personal accessories and ceremonial celebrations. When you buy a Native American sterling silver cuff bracelet, gold cuff bracelet or turquoise cuff bracelet, you are sharing a part of a deep tradition of jewelry making behind it.
In previous years, Native American craftsmen started introducing new raw materials in creating their handcrafted products. Aside from turquoise, cuff bracelets are now adorned with other gems such as coral, lapis, opal, mother of pearl, and many more. Some artisans have begun to prefer using German silver, which is a nickel alloy as gold has become more and more expensive.

A pearl is a hard, rounded gem produced by certain bivalve mollusks such as pearl oysters and the freshwater pearl mussel. The pearl is created in response to an irritation by a foreign object that entered the mollusk’s shell. The mantle secretes calcium carbonate in the form of nacre and coats the irritant. After several years, a pearl is formed.
A lot of women prefer pearls over any other gems. Thus, this gem has found its way into becoming pearl pendants, rings, necklaces, bracelets, and other jewelry. Pearls are sold as natural and cultured. They are variable in shape and may come in black or pink as well as the standard white color.

Women with green eyes can look more arresting when they wear jewelry that compliments their eye color. A peridot bracelet and earrings set, for instance, will bring out the green fire most attractively. Peridot is a transparent green olivine of gemstone quality.
Deposits of this mineral can be found on Saint John’s Island in the Red Sea, Burma, and the southwest United States. Most peridots used in jewelry are faceted. They catch the light in different places and will beautifully reflect back the subtle beams around the wearer.

We are all enthusiastic about gemstones representing months of birth or anniversary years. Citrine represents the November born and the 13th month of marriage. This crystal also relates to abundance and self esteem. A gorgeous citrine pendant might be colored a light yellow graduating to almost amber. Some people love and collect the stone alone, not needing to have it set in metal.
Raw citrine is mostly mined in Brazil. It comes in various shades of yellow and is formed into various shapes and sizes. That is the reason you will see citrine formed into beads and worn as a necklace. This is done by heating at various temperature levels. It also looks very pretty when set in gold.
