My prom date was one of the most popular girls in school, and I really wanted to make an impression. I got her a gold heart shaped locket and had her name engraved on it.  She really flipped!
The whole night, she kept showing it off to people and stuff. She said I was really thoughtful and sweet. We started dating more regularly throughout the summer.
